Fort Myers

The area is known for its seashells. There were lots to choose from. We didn't bring but two home though.

I did get to fish. Good thing were weren't depending on fish for dinner though. Didn't land anything.

No, Snowman did not follow us down, the Egret is Hotdog, the resident beggar. He also chooses to drink from the pool. Boy it was a great pool, the best next to the Orlando Grand Hyatt.

Mom and I went to Sanibell and Captiva. Got a shot of the lighthouse and The Bubble Room where I took Mom for lunch. It was packed with 30's, 40's, and 50's memorabilia. We had huge hamburgers, that we brought half home for dinner as well as a huge hunk of cheesecake with fruit topping.

We also ate at Doc Ford's Rumbar & Grill. I got a Mojito, my one and only drink for the summer, I confess I didn't finish it. I also bought Honey a long sleeve cotton shirt from there. Looks alot like a Ron Jon shirt. It will keep him warm this fall and winter on the job.

When we got Vic, I took him to my favorite place, a bistro over a marina on the bay. Great food and great views. Mom and I had liked it too. I had gotten a BLT and loved it. Really. the T was fried green T's. Heh, heh. With Vic I got scallops and he enjoyed an oyster po-boy.

The last photo is of Mom and I by the pool. I was trying the K&C technique of holding out the camera to get the photo of myself and Mom. But I forgot to smile. Whoops. Hope you enjoyed the photos.

PS Doc Ford is a character in many books by Randy Wayne White. I love them for their Florida content.
