Maggie May and Tigger
When looking for Christina's GSA badges I found Tigger and he is happily living on Mom's bed with his Tigger pillow. Go Tony's Tigger.
Mom and I went out for pizza for dinner and called Betty when we got home to see if she would like some. She and Maggie May came over and we got to see Maggie's new haircut. All her fluff is gone but she is cleaner and cooler. We won't have cooler weather for some time yet.
Betty and I played Scrabble and I was soundly beaten which is only fair. She is the English professor. I am just a reader.
We sure love Maggie May.

NO Bound
Got the mail and newspapers on hold. Meds in order. Snacks of fruits and nuts. Living arrangements. Everything is set except about George and JoAnn and we will talk with them again this weekend. Even bought the Wedding card for the cash gift. Could have bought a gift but they have everything. Got some cash this time so Mom doesn't have to leave all the tips. This has been a very travely year. Still have one or two more planned plus Christina and Sean coming for Christmastime. Good thing I'm footloose and fancy-free.
Next year I am hoping to get over to AZ to play with chickens. And possibly CA to visit Cherie and Gene. Times-a-wasting. So meantime I'm getting healthier and stronger.

Labor Day at the Beach
We went to the Sandbar Beach today. The water was cooler, very nice instead of a lukewarm tub.
I took this photo of myself and I remembered to smile.
We brought the unbrella but never unfurled it. The sand was even cool. Very cloudy even sprinkled for a few minutes.
Not crowded but more than usual due to the holiday, I figure most went to the big beaches with all the amenities.
The Sandbar Restaurant was packed. We did go in the morning left at 1pm or so. Hurried home to swim in pool and bbq steak instead of dogs. Leftover lasagna for dinner. He loves his lasagna.

Fort Myers
The area is known for its seashells. There were lots to choose from. We didn't bring but two home though.
I did get to fish. Good thing were weren't depending on fish for dinner though. Didn't land anything.
No, Snowman did not follow us down, the Egret is Hotdog, the resident beggar. He also chooses to drink from the pool. Boy it was a great pool, the best next to the Orlando Grand Hyatt.
Mom and I went to Sanibell and Captiva. Got a shot of the lighthouse and The Bubble Room where I took Mom for lunch. It was packed with 30's, 40's, and 50's memorabilia. We had huge hamburgers, that we brought half home for dinner as well as a huge hunk of cheesecake with fruit topping.
We also ate at Doc Ford's Rumbar & Grill. I got a Mojito, my one and only drink for the summer, I confess I didn't finish it. I also bought Honey a long sleeve cotton shirt from there. Looks alot like a Ron Jon shirt. It will keep him warm this fall and winter on the job.
When we got Vic, I took him to my favorite place, a bistro over a marina on the bay. Great food and great views. Mom and I had liked it too. I had gotten a BLT and loved it. Really. the T was fried green T's. Heh, heh. With Vic I got scallops and he enjoyed an oyster po-boy.
The last photo is of Mom and I by the pool. I was trying the K&C technique of holding out the camera to get the photo of myself and Mom. But I forgot to smile. Whoops. Hope you enjoyed the photos.
PS Doc Ford is a character in many books by Randy Wayne White. I love them for their Florida content.
